Accessibility statement

Last reviewed

We sell accessibility testing, so this site should be usable by the people that testing is for. This page says what we aim for, what we have actually tested, what we know is not right yet, and how to tell us about a problem.

Our target

We aim for screenmy.site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

We have not had the site independently audited, so we do not claim full conformance. After the fixes described below, our testing found no failures, but automated checks cover only part of WCAG, and our manual testing so far has been limited to the keyboard.

How we test

On September 30, 2026 we tested the site as follows:

  • Automated checks. axe-core 4.11, the same engine our scanner uses, with the WCAG 2.2 AA ruleset, on every public page (the homepage, checker, audit, API, about, blog, every post, the lawsuit tracker and its method page, and the sample report). Each page was checked at a desktop width (1280px) and a phone width (375px), after scrolling the full page. This found one failure: on phones, the sample report’s findings table scrolled sideways but could not be reached with a keyboard. We fixed it, along with the same pattern in other tables. The remaining results axe could not decide were decorative characters (list bullets and arrows hidden from screen readers) and table cells inside that scrolling area, whose text we checked by hand.
  • Keyboard. We moved through ten pages with the Tab key alone. Every link, button and field was reachable in a logical order, and each showed a visible focus indicator. We added a “Skip to main content” link as the first stop on every page.
  • Built in. The scan form is part of the page’s HTML, so it appears and can be filled in before the page’s scripts load. Charts on the lawsuit tracker are decorative; the same numbers are in tables beneath them.

Not yet tested

  • A full pass of the site with a screen reader (NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver).
  • 200% zoom and 320px reflow on every page, and Windows High Contrast mode.
  • The sample report PDF is tagged, with its language and title set, but has not been read through with a screen reader. The same findings are on the sample report page.

Known limitations

  • The demonstration store is inaccessible on purpose. The pages under /demo-store are a fictional shop built with deliberate accessibility failures, so that our sample report has something real to find. Every page there is labelled as a demonstration and is hidden from search engines. It is not part of the site you need to use.
  • Scan results describe other people’s websites. A scan report quotes code from the site that was scanned. We control how the report is presented, not the quality of the code it quotes.

Tell us about a problem

If something on this site is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, email support@screenmy.site. Tell us the page and what went wrong. A person reads every message, and we will fix what we can and update this statement.
